our process
To kick things off, we'll send you our comprehensive BRAND DISCOVERY FORM, which allows us to really tap into the inner workings of your business, your audience and your goals, so we can create a unique strategy.
Next, we'll schedule a 60-min Zoom strategy call to get to know you and dig even deeper into your brand’s strategy. During this strategy sesh, we’ll present a brand brief that we put together based on your discovery form, and get your approvals on initial direction.
From there, we'll handle the heavy lifting (with your approvals, of course!). You can expect to see an initial logo design at around 7 business days, and we’ll send each deliverable one at a time, to allow us to focus on individual details.

Our team will wireframe, provide creative direction and write custom code to build you the website of your wildest dreams. We weave story-telling, sales psychology, and user experience optimization into every page. Need copywriting? Just ask us and we’ll add it to your scope!
To get started, we’ll send you our comprehensive WEB DISCOVERY FORM. You’ll have a smidge of homework to do in the beginning, we'll take care of the rest. Then, we’ll have a 60-min Zoom session to map out your website’s wireframes (build out the different pages and sections of your website), and discuss any copy and photography needs. We kindly ask that you send revisions back within 24 hours to keep things on schedule. Please let us know prior to kick-off (or as soon as possible) if you expect any hiccups in your calendar. All project communications and revisions are handled via Slack and Loom, and we will share assets via Google Drive.

How long will my project take?
In general, a branding project will take 6-8 weeks, and a web project 4-9 months, depending on how many pages and client’s timeliness with feedback.
And, we typically have a 1-2 month lead time to kick projects off, so the sooner you can reach out to us, the more likely we can accommodate your launch calendar.
How much do your packages cost?
All of our scopes are custom, so reach out and we’ll provide pricing info. Please consider that the minimum investment for our services start at $4k.
We champion our clients’ best interests, and have various options depending on where you are in your business growth and the exact scope of the project desired (number of web pages, platform, copywriting, etc).

What if I already have branding, can I use my existing assets for a web project?
We typically offer both branding + website as a 1-2 punch.
However, if you already have a FULL SET of brand deliverables (logo, icon, color palette of at least 5 shades, header, subheader + body fonts), we’d be happy to take a look and see if we can work with them!
We love having full creative control over aesthetic, but we can certainly work with your assets as long as you have a full set of brand deliverables we can work with, which must be provided prior to your web kickoff.
Do your packages include Instagram graphics, cover photos, Youtube banners or email headers?
We offer two core services: branding & websites, and do not offer graphic design services outside of that.
Why? We consider ourselves your brand architects. Meaning that we build out the foundation and strategy for your branding, along with usage rules so that you can have graphics built for you, on the fly, using the Brand Guides we create.
This way, you’re not paying agency rates for smaller graphic design assets. Pretty much any designer will be able to craft on-brand, cohesive assets based on the rules we lay out in our brand guides, saving you time and money.
I just launched my business, is BrandUp right for me?
If you’re brand new and don’t have the budget for a 1:1 project, we recommend checking out our BRAND SHOP and starting with something there.

Which themes do you utilize to build your websites?
We do not use themes, we only build 100% custom sites.
Which platform do you build your websites on?
Depends on your needs, but we typically recommend Wordpress, Kajabi, Teachable or Shopify. These platforms provide us with the flexibility to build you a 100% custom site, and are robust enough to grow with your business.
For those of you enquiring about Wix or Squarespace, these platforms are DIY sites and don’t have robust custom coding capabilities like the other platforms we recommend.
For those of you wanting to build sales pages on ClickFunnels, LeadPages, Karta- these are also DIY landing page tools and do not have custom coding capabilities.
Will I be able to edit my website after delivery? Or will I need to reach out to you guys for updates.
We build HIGHLY INTUITIVE back end experiences for our websites. Meaning, we spend hours custom coding the back ends of our sites so that you can easily edit copy, imagery, add pages, update your blog, etc.
We will also happily hop on an offboarding call with you to walk you through your back end or answer any questions- but trust us, you’ll be super comfortable with basic updates of your website.
For those of you who need ongoing support with more intricate web updates that require custom coding, we do offer a monthly maintenance plan.
Who will be working on my project?
Lumina Creative consists of a team of creative strategists, brand designers, copywriters, UX designers and web developers -- who all work together to deliver our projects. We are truly an all hands on deck solution!
Once you get started, you’ll get assigned a dedicated creative strategist who will manage your project and support you with everything from design briefs, brand strategy, edits and revisions, and launching.

Are your websites SEO friendly?
Yep! And, we offer a basic SEO add-on for those of you interested in a little extra SEO juice.
